Riderz apparel is engineered using premium, high-performance technical fabrics designed to deliver maximum breathability, aerodynamics, and comfort. To maintain the elite performance, compression, and fit of your jerseys, shorts, and accessories, we recommend following this specialized care guide.

🧺 The Golden Rules of Cycling Apparel Care

1. Wash Immediately After Your Ride

Do not leave your damp cycling gear in a laundry basket or gear bag. Sweat contains salt and acids that can degrade the technical fibers, performance coatings, and elastics over time. If you cannot wash it immediately, hang it up to air dry.

2. Turn Everything Inside Out

Always turn your jerseys and shorts inside out before throwing them in the wash. This protects the outer sublimated prints, logos, and fabrics from friction, and ensures the inner chamois (pad) in your shorts gets thoroughly cleaned.

3. Zip Up and Secure All Fasteners

Close all zippers, velcro tabs, and snap buttons on all garments before washing. Open zippers and loose velcro can easily snag and permanently ruin the delicate mesh and technical knit structures of your jerseys and socks.

🧼 Washing Instructions

  • Machine Wash Cold: Use a gentle or delicate cycle with cold water (maximum 30°C). Hot water can break down the spandex and elastic fibers.
  • Use the Right Detergent: Use a mild, liquid detergent.
  • ❌ NEVER Use Fabric Softener: Fabric softeners leave a chemical residue that coats the technical fibers, completely destroying the fabric’s ability to wick sweat and breathe.
  • Use a Laundry Mesh Bag: To prevent your gear from twisting or getting stretched around the washing machine agitator, place your jerseys and bib shorts inside a mesh laundry bag.

💨 Drying & Storing

  • ❌ Line Dry Only — Never Tumble Dry: The intense heat of a household dryer will melt elastics, destroy heat-transferred logos, and shrink the technical fabric.
  • Hang to Dry: Hang your apparel out of direct sunlight in a well-ventilated area.
  • Do Not Iron: Technical fabrics do not require ironing. The high heat of an iron will instantly damage the synthetic composition of the gear.
